RACE DISTANCES
3 X Races of a SWIM 300M - BIKE 7KM - RUN 1.5KM
# YOUTH A + B ATHLETES WILL RACE IN RACES 1 AND 3
-
RACE 1 - SWIM/BIKE/RUN
-
RACE 2 - RUN/ SWIM/ BIKE
-
RACE 3 - BIKE/ RUN/ SWIM

Race 1 of the event follows a traditional swim, bike, and run format to help athletes familiarize themselves with the course. The swim begins with a beach start and covers a single lap of 300m, exiting at the boat ramp and leading into the transition area. The bike leg consists of a 7km loop, followed by another lap of 1.5km for the run. Athletes will cross the finish line at the end of the run to recover and prepare for Race 2.
Race 2 kicks off with a 1.5km run. Instead of running through the finish line, athletes will transition and collect their swim cap and goggles (many will have them either already on or stored in their tri suits). From there, they will exit the transition area and head towards the swim start. Athletes can choose to either run in from the beach or dive from the pontoon and complete the 300m swim. Exiting at the boat ramp, they will proceed to transition for the 7km bike leg. After completing the bike leg, athletes will rack their bikes, cross the dismount line, and race towards the finish line by turning right. Wearing shoes is compulsory for this race.
Race 3 starts with a 100m run to reach the bike, with shoes being mandatory. Athletes will then ride the 7km cycle loop before entering transition and commencing the 1.5km run. After the run, they will return to transition to retrieve their goggles and swim cap and embark on the final leg of the day, a 300m swim. Athletes can choose their entry point for the swim, either from the beach or the pontoon. The finish line will be located on the grass under the shaded area to the left of the boat ramp, signaling the end of the day's events.
As for Race 4, details have not been disclosed yet, and it remains a surprise. Additionally, there will be an all comers dash for the Christmas Cash, where a deserving athlete or athletes will have the opportunity to claim the prize. Stay tuned for further updates on Race 4 and the Christmas Cash dash!
